The Children's Spine Foundation seeks to be the principal educator and provider of spinal healthcare, serving children with spine deformities and ailments who do not have the financial means for treatment.
Spine deformities and injuries affect many children each year. When left undetected and untreated, spinal deformities can lead to severe health problems, disfigurement and low self-esteem, and often can be life threatening. It is imperative to improve detection processes and provide necessary medical care, especially to the many children whose families do not have the financial means for treatment.
The foundation was founded by Dr. Thomas Haider in 1994. The foundation board and committees are made up of medical professionals and community leaders.
CSF is a California nonprofit, public benefit corporation (IRS 501(c) 3 tax number: 33-0611309) for the purpose of serving children with spine abnormalities and injuries.
